The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSOne of the following general protection (GP) fault messages may occur when you insert a picture in your Word for Windows document if you are using one of the ET4000 video drivers supplied with Windows for Workgroups version 3.1 (MMTLHI.DRV) or the ET4000 video driver supplied on the Dell OEM disks (VGA468.DRV):
MSWORD caused a GP Fault error in VGA468.DRV. -or- MSWORD caused a GP Fault error in MMTLHI.DRV.Microsoft has reproduced this problem at various resolutions (including 800 x 600 x 256, 640 x 480 x 256, 1024 x 768 x 256, large or small fonts) with both video drivers.

WORKAROUNDAdd the following setting to your WINWORD6.INI file, located in the Windows directory:
