WD6X: Tall Adjusted and 50-Percent Reduction Dimmed in MacWord

SYMPTOMS

When you use the ImageWriter driver, the Tall Adjusted and 50% Reduction options are not available (are dimmed) in the Special Effects section of the Page Setup dialog box.

This is not a problem with the ImageWriter driver supplied with QuickDraw GX.

CAUSE

Word passes the selected information in the Special Effects section of the Page Setup dialog box incorrectly to the driver.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word version 6.0 for the Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
