The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Internet Assistant for Word, versions 1.0, 1.0z, 2.0z
  • Microsoft Word for Windows 95 version 7.0
  • Microsoft Word for Windows, versions 6.0a, 6.0c

SUMMARY

Internet Assistant for Word installs two templates during setup. HTML.DOT is used when you are working in HTMLEdit View, creating and editing your HTML documents. WEBVIEW.DOT is used when you switch to WebBrowse View. Word attaches the appropriate template whenever you switch between these views.

MORE INFORMATION

If you modify styles that affect your template while in HTMLEdit view, you can save changes to the HTML.DOT template. If you modify your styles while in WebBrowse View, you can save your changes to WEBVIEW.DOT.

Changes to styles stored in these templates do not affect how the document will look when displayed in another browser, such as Mosaic.
