Improper Screen Redraw After Display Resolution Changed

SYMPTOMS

When you adjust your display resolution from 640x480 to 1024x768 while Word is running, the right side of the ruler is not redrawn properly.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word for Windows 95, version 7.0. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

WORKAROUND

To display the ruler correctly, do one of the following:

Method 1: Close Word before you change the resolution.

Method 2: If Word was running when you changed the resolution, turn the

          ruler off, and then turn the ruler back on.
