  • Microsoft Word 97 for Windows

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Letter Wizard, the preview for the Elegant Page Design shows a company name in the header of the page. You cannot change the company name when you run the wizard and the company name is not added to the header of your letter when you finish running the wizard. Note: The preview is based on the Gallery Example AutoText entry.

WORKAROUND

After you have finished running the wizard, add the header to your letter, using the following steps:

  1. Go to the first page of your letter.

  2. On the View menu, click Header And Footer.

  3. Type the information you want to appear at the top of the first page of your letter.

  4. Select the text you typed in step 3.

  5. On the Format menu, click Font, and then click the Font tab.

  6. Select the font formatting options you want. For example, in the Size box, type or select to 14 points. Click OK.

  7. On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then click the Indents and Spacing tab.

  8. Select the paragraph formatting options you want. For example, in the Alignment box, select Centered. Click OK.
