The Microsoft Agent self-extracting executable installs a number of system files and registry entries. Web developers can include the CLSID in the <OBJECT> tag of their HTML page, subject to the provisions of the license agreement displayed when the control is downloaded and installed. Application developers who want to add Microsoft Agent services and any of its components (including Microsoft Agent character files) to their application must obtain a redistribution license for Microsoft Agent.
