During installation, you often need to search for a file. The installer has four standard search actions that serve this purpose. The AppSearch action uses the AppSearch table to determine if a file exists on a user's computer. The CCPSearch action and the RMCCPSearch action use corresponding tables to check for a previous version of a product for an upgrade installation.
