When a network component is installed, information is added to the Registry. Each network component is represented in two distinct areas of the Registry:

The information in this section is provided so that you can find entries in the Registry easily. Do not change settings for network adapters and supporting software by directly editing values in the Registry. Instead, use the Adapters tab under the Network option in Control Panel.
