When you upgrade from Windows NT 3.51 to 4.0, your user profile is converted. However, because of the changes to the user interface between 3.51 and 4.0, some of the settings do not migrate. If you are working in a mixed environment that includes both 3.51 and 4.0, you will have a separate user profile for each version. Changes made to one won't be reflected in the other.
