The Core Components are the essential elements of OLE DB, and therefore are required to be present in any redistribution of the product. This document describes each component, as well as additional interfaces that can be used in other APIs, such as the Data Link API. In addition, it refers to the Connection String Syntax, which sets the rules for constructing connection strings.
Providers require other files. For more information on those requirements, refer to the documentation on the specific provider located in the Data Access SDK.
