If you've not seen it yet, the next cool thing for you to learn is Windows CE. It's a ROMable version of Windows designed for PC-like devices, including handheld PCs, "wallet" PCs, wireless-communication devices such as digital information pagers and cellular smart phones, next-generation entertainment and multimedia consoles including DVD players, and purpose-built Internet-access devices such as Internet TVs, digital set-top boxes, and Internet "Web phones." (When Dr. GUI was a toaster, you can bet he was running an alpha copy of Windows CE!)
The Windows CE development environment supports a comprehensive, expandable subset of Win32 APIs and uses familiar off-the-shelf tools. You already know how to write cool programs that will make Windows CE machines singa great opportunity for you! Check it out at http://microsoft.com/windows/windowsce.
