2.6 Containment Hierarchy
Active Directory represents namespaces as a hierarchy of containers and leaf objects. The containment rules for the underlying namespace govern the details of the hierarchy. The Windows NT containment hierarchy, which is a representative example, is show in Figure 3, below.
