This chapter contains explanations and corrective actions for the many SQL Server error messages.
Most of the messages presented here include error numbers from the sysmessages table in the master database. Others, which can occur in the SQL Server error log but are not from sysmessages, do not have error numbers. The messages with numbers appear first, in numerical order, followed by the messages without numbers, in alphabetical order.
