An installation of the MS DTC client utility includes the interfaces that applications use to begin MS DTC transactions. The MS DTC client utility does not include the distributed transaction coordinator service or the extensions to SQL Enterprise Manager for graphical management of the MS DTC. The MS DTC client utility will not create the MSDTC.LOG file during installation.
