The following material details Component Object Model (COM) interfaces and methods exposed for creating and processing DirectShow™ Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) packets. Familiarity with COM, DirectShow, and RTP is assumed.

DirectShow RTP Network Filters Forwards RTP packets from the network to the Demux filters, and from the RTP SPH filter to the network.
RTP Demux Filter Demultiplexes RTP packets received from a multicast conference into separate streams.
RTP Receive Payload Handler Reorders and reassembles received RTP packets into multimedia buffers.
RTP Send Payload Handler Filter Segments multimedia buffers into RTP packets to be sent.
Silence Suppression Detects silence in an audio stream and only delivers packets that are nonsilent.
H26X Video Control Interfaces Sets decoder brightness, contrast, and saturation, and encoder frame size and quality.
