This sample application demonstrates several optimization techniques for Visual Basic. Speed comparisons are made between various coding techniques to illustrate performance differences.
The sample is comprised of several forms, each demonstrating optimized and non-optimized code. When running this sample, it’s a good idea to shut down any other running applications in order to get accurate timings. For more information, see "Designing for Performance and Compatibility," in the Programmer's Guide.
