Windows CE Registry Editor

The Windows CE system registry resides in the object store on the remote device. To edit the system registry, run the Windows CE Registry Editor. When you run the Registry Editor (ceregedt.exe), a dialog box opens and displays three top-level registry headings:

To inspect and modify the desktop computer system registry, double-click the My Computer registry heading.

To inspect and modify the emulation system registry, double-click the My Emulation registry heading.

To inspect and modify the remote device system registry, double-click the My HPC registry heading.

Each registry heading consists of the following top-level registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

The root key for configuration information.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT

The root key for associating a file with an application.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER

The root key for configuration information about the user currently logged on to the system.
