RemoveDirectory

The RemoveDirectory function deletes an existing empty directory.

BOOL RemoveDirectory(
  LPCTSTR lpPathName   // pointer to directory to remove
);
 

Parameters

lpPathName
Pointer to a null-terminated string that specifies the path of the directory to be removed. The path must specify an empty directory, and the calling process must have delete access to the directory.

Return Values

If the function succeeds, the return value is nonzero.

If the function fails, the return value is zero. To get extended error information, call GetLastError.

Remarks

Windows CE: If the function succeeds, the return value is TRUE. If the function fails, the return value is FALSE. To get extended error information, call GetLastError.
