This error has the following cause and solution:

• You are attempting to share a file with the current project, and that file already exists in the current project.

  If you want to share a different version of the file, specify a version in the History of File dialog box and click Pin. If you want to share this file with another project, select that project in VSS Explorer and click Share on the SourceSafe menu. Then, select the file to share from the Share dialog box.
