Chapter Summary

Creating custom dialog boxes is the same in the Visual Basic Editor of any Office application. You can insert ActiveX controls from the Control Toolbox in the Visual Basic Editor, and set properties for ActiveX controls using the Properties window. Using ActiveX controls, you can create some of the common elements or style of dialog boxes that are displayed in Office. For example, in this chapter you created a wizard similar in look and style to the Fax Wizard in Word and the AutoContent Wizard in PowerPoint. Integrating the common Windows dialog boxes, such as the Browse For Folder and Open dialog boxes, helps you build custom dialog boxes similar to those you see throughout Office applications.
