The ported LAN Manager functions use the LAN Manager 2.x error reporting convention. For example, a successful function call returns zero; a nonzero return code indicates an error in the range of the LAN Manager 2.x function errors.
An extended error range has been added for Windows NT - specific errors.
Because the ported LAN Manager functions use RPC, the error definition has also been extended to include RPC error codes.
