To change the HDTV format for your HDTV

  1. From the NVIDIA Control Panel navigation tree pane, under Display, click Change resolution to open the associated page.

  2. Select the television you would like to change.

  3. If multiple choices are available, click the Connector list arrow and then select the connector type for your display.

  4. Select the HD resolution you want to use.

The HD resolution list displays various HDTV display formats with equivalent screen resolutions such as 480p (720x480 progressive), 480i (720x480 interlaced), and so on. Choose a format that gives you the display result you want.

Note: Typically, progressive formats provide a more stable picture with fewer flickers. Refer to your HDTV owner's manual for a list of supported display formats.

Note: HD formats appear in Dn formats in Japan, for example, as shown in this list.
