Project Properties dialog: File filters

Downloads may be restricted by file extensions. For your convenience they are categorized as follows: Text, Images, Video, Audio, Archive, User Defined and Other. The Extension filter allows you to load files by file types.

Text, Images, Video, Audio and Archive are predefined file types.

Text includes HTML and text documents.

Images - different picture rendering file types.

Video and Audio - corresponding multimedia formats.

Archives - the most common archive formats to transfer compressed data.

User-defined category that includes any of your own file types for your convenience.

The Other file types category differs from others.

If it is checked, it will allow downloading any file type even if the extension is not listed in any predefined or user-defined category. If unchecked, any file of a type not listed in those categories will be skipped.

Categories may be enabled or disabled using the checkboxes on the left Categories tree. Unchecked node means that none of the file types in that category will be loaded. Checked node allows its file types to be loaded. You may edit the category by adding, changing or removing file extensions.

Tips:

File filters allow selective downloading of files by (1) location, (2) file size, and (3) file type.

The Location filter allows you to specify to load the selected file types according to URL filters, to restrict loading to the starting server directory or to load them from anywhere. If you choose anything other than Load using URL Filters settings, then files from this category will not be checked against any URL Filters and their exclude/include keyword lists.

The Size Filter lets you control downloading by the file size. If Minimum size is checked, Portable Offline Browser will not load any file smaller than the value entered (in kilobytes). If Maximum size is checked, Portable Offline Browser will not load any file larger than the value entered (in kilobytes). Load with Mass Downloader will allow to download bigger files at the maximum possible speed.
