Downloaded files may easily be edited or viewed using common editing tools. For example, you might want to choose between a number of paint programs to edit JPEG files.
To add a tool, click the Application Button, select Options from the menu and go to one of the Tools sections. All tools in Portable Offline Browser are categorized as Browsers, Editors and Viewers. They will appear under separate sections when you right-click a file in Project Map or a Project in the Projects tree.
The tool name will be shown in the context menu. Path should contain executable filename of the corresponding application. It should include the full path to the file. You may also click on the open file button next to the file box to easily locate the tool executable file. You can use %windir% to specify the Windows directory in the path.
Click the Add button to add a new tool to the list. Caption and File edit boxes will be cleared. The new tool appears checked (enabled) by default in the Tools list.
Click the Remove button to delete the selected tool from the Tools list. This button could be also used to edit the tool. To do this, select the tool to be modified and click the Remove button. Next, go to the Caption or File edit boxes and make the necessary changes, then click the Add button.
AutoDetect button finds most commonly used browsers on your system and adds them to the Tools - Browsers list automatically.
When you right-click a file in the Map tab, a context menu will allow you to select a tool. Selecting a tool will launch that application and open the selected file.
Tools window. When Portable Offline Browser starts any tool to browse, edit or view downloaded files, the tool application window will be minimized, maximized or left normal size according to this setting.
