To convert contiguous surfaces that enclose a volume to a 3D solid object

  1. Click Home tabSolid Editing panelUnion. At the Command prompt, enter union.
  2. Select objects whose surfaces are contiguous (with no gaps).

    A compound object is created.

  3. Click Home tabSolid Editing panelConvert to Solid.At the Command prompt, enter convtosolid.
  4. Select the new compound object.
