To view a data extraction (DXE) file and linked Excel (XLS) file associated with a drawing

• Click Insert  External References.At the command prompt, enter externalreferences.

The file name and path are displayed. If a data link exists to a Microsoft Excel (XLS) file, information about the data link is displayed on the Details pane.
