Description

The alarm is triggered when the data bus (DBUS) on the shelf is not available.

The services on some or all TRXs will be interrupted upon occurrence of this alarm.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The E1 transmission link is faulty.
  • The DBUS on the shelf is not available.
  • The TMU is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check whether a correlated parent alarm occurs.

    Y=> Clear the parent alarm according to the corresponding handling suggestions. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    N=> Go to step 2.

    Correlated parent alarm

    ALM-2214 E1 Local Alarm

    The parent alarm and the child alarm have the same Site No. and Module No. in the alarm location information.

    If the E1 transmission link is faulty, an E1 local alarm occurs, and a parent alarm occurs accordingly.

  2. Check whether there is any correlated alarm

    Check whether ALM-2214 E1 Local Alarm exists in the LMT. If yes, handle ALM-2214 E1 Local Alarm according to the corresponding handling suggestions. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Go to Step 3.

    If no such alarms are reported, go to Step [3].

  3. Check whether only one end of the E1 cable is grounded

    Check whether the DIP switches on the TMU are correctly set. If no, modify the setting to ensure that only one end of the E1 cable is grounded. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Go to Step 3.

    If the DIP switches on the TMU are correctly set, go to Step [3].

  4. Replace the TMU

    Replace the TMU and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Huawei Customer Service Center.
