Description

This alarm is triggered when the received frame number or TS number is abnormal because the MFU clock or hardware fails.

Impact on the System

When this alarm occurs, all the services on the current BTS3001C are interrupted.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The MMU 13M clock fails.
  • The MFU clock circuit fails.
  • The frame number receiving chip in the MFU fails.

Procedure

  1. Check whether there is any correlated alarm
    1. Check whether the LMT has also reported a ALM-3172 MMU Clock alarm.

      Y=> Handle the alarm according to the related handling suggestions to check whether it is cleared. The alarm is cleared, Alarm handling is completed. The alarm is not cleared, Go to Step 2.

      N=> The alarm has not been cleared. Go to step b.

    2. Check whether the LMT has also reported a ALM-3438 Clock alarm.

      Y=>Handle the alarm according to the related handling suggestions.The alarm is cleared, Alarm handling is completed. The alarm is not cleared, Go to Step 2.

      N=>Go to step 2.

  2. Reset MMU

    Reset the MMU through the LMT. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm handling ends.

    N=>The possible cause is that the hardware in the BTS3001C is faulty.Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
