Parameters

ID Name Meaning
1 NSEI

ID of the NSE where the alarm is generated

2 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

  • If the Gb Flex feature is not enabled, all cells of this NSE do not support packet services.
  • If the Gb Flex feature is enabled, the cells of the PTP BVC under the NSE cannot access the corresponding SGSN.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

The Gb interface is abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Run the MML command DSP BC to check whether the BC service state is available.

    Y => Go to 2.

    N => Configure BC service state to be available.

  2. Run the MML command DSP NSVC to check whether the NSVC is in the activation unblocked state.

    Y => Go to 3.

    N => Configure NSVC service state to be available.

  3. On the MML clients of the BSC and SGSN, run the MML command LST NSVC. Check whether the NSE and NSVC configuration of the BSC and the SGSN are consistent.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared.

    N => On the LMT of the BSC, Configure NSVC to make the configuration of the NSE and NSVC on the BSC be the same as the configuration on the SGSN.

  4. On the MML clients of the BSC and the SGSN, run the MML command LST BC. Check whether the BC identifiers of the BSC and the SGSN are consistent.

    Y => Go to 5.

    N => On the LMT of the BSC, reconfigure the BC to make the configuration of the BC identifier on the BSC be the same as the configuration on the SGSN.

  5. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling is complete.
