341 DSP Resource Overload

Description

This alarm is reported when the sum of the maximum number of available PDCHs of all cells distributed on a DSP is greater than the value of Channel Distribution Upper Threshold on DSP (60 by default).
NOTE:

Maximum number of available PDCHs of a cell = Maximum Ratio Threshold of PDCHs in a Cell x (Number of TCHFs + Number of configured static PDCHs)

Attribute

Alarm ID Alarm Severity Alarm Type
341 Critical Fault

Parameters

ID Name Meaning
1 Subrack No.

Number of the subrack where the alarm is generated

2 Slot No.

Number of the slot where the alarm is generated

3 DspNo.

Number of the DSP where the alarm is generated

4 Alarm Attribute

0=Normal, Alarms period are longer than the Transient Threshold.

1=Transient Count, The times and the period of the alarms whose periods are shorter than the Transient Threshold are summed up. If the sum result is longer than the Alarm Occurrence Period Threshold or Alarm Occurrence Times Threshold, an alarm so called Transient Count Alarm is triggered. Because Transient Count Alarm is based on accumulative result, the recovery of the alarm may occur at least one Summing Cycle later. The Summing Cycle can be query by MML "LST STATSLDWIN".

Impact on the System

The packet service performance of the cells on the DSP deteriorates.

System Actions

None

Possible Causes

The sum of the maximum number of available PDCHs of all cells distributed on a DSP is greater than the value of Channel Distribution Upper Threshold on DSP (60 by default).

Procedure

  1. Run the MML command LST PSSOFTPARA, and obtain the Channel Distribution Upper Threshold on DSP;

  2. Run the MML command DSP DSPSTAT, and obtain the status of each DSP;

  3. Run the MML command SET PSCELLTODSP, and make the cells distributed on the idle DSP manually;

  4. Please consider system capacity expansion.
