4158 DBUS alarm

Description

The alarm is reported when the Carrier Module hardware detects that the data bus (DBUS) sent from the main control module is lost.

Impact on the System

All the services of the DTRU will be interrupted upon occurrence of this alarm.

System Actions

  • When this alarm occurs, the system shuts off the power amplifier automatically.
  • For the DTRU of main BCCH, DTRU mutual aid is started.

Possible Causes

  • Faulty E1 transmission link
  • Faulty DBUS in the rack
  • Faulty DTMU

Procedure

  1. Check other relevant alarms.

    Check if E1 Local Alarm exists on LMT.

    Y=> if exist, handle it according to the corresponding handling suggestions, check if the alarm is cleared.The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed. The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 2.

    N=> if not, Go to Step 2.

  2. Check if the DIP switches of the main controlling module are set properly
    1. if the DIP switches of the main controlling module are set properly.

      Ensure that only one end of the E1 cable is grounded, and see if the alarm is cleared.

      Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

      N=> The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 3.

    2. if the DIP switches of the main controlling module are not set properly.

      Modify the setting to ensure that only one end of the E1 cable is grounded, and see if the alarm is cleared.

      Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

      N=> The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 3.

  3. Replace the main controlling module.

    Replace the main controlling module and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. The fault may lie in distribution cables of the rack fault.
