Impact on the System

The ambient temperature of the BTS may become abnormal, and the normal operation of the BTS is affected.

System Actions

None

Possible Causes

  • Power failure (BTS configured with batteries)
  • Faulty connections between the air conditioner or heat exchanger and the backplane
  • Faulty air conditioner or heat exchanger

Procedure

  1. Check for related alarms.
    1. Run the LST ALMAF command on the MML client. Check whether ALM-5988 No Mains Supply Alarm is reported on the LMT.

      Y => The alarm is reported on the LMT. Go to step b.

      N => ALM-5988 No Mains Supply Alarm is not reported on the LMT. Go to 2.

    2. Rectify the fault according to handling suggestions in ALM-5988 No Mains Supply Alarm. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to 2.

  2. Check the cable connections.
    1. Check whether the cable is faulty.

      Y => The cable is faulty. Go to step b.

      N => The cable is normal. Go to 3.

    2. Replace the cable between the air conditioner or heat exchanger and the backplane. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Go to 3.

  3. Check the air conditioner or heat exchanger.
    1. Check the air conditioner or heat exchanger for faults.

      Y => The air conditioner or heat exchanger is faulty. Go to step b.

      N => The air conditioner and the heat exchanger are normal. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.

    2. Replace the air conditioner or heat exchanger. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

      Y => The alarm is cleared. The alarm handling is complete.

      N => The alarm is not cleared. Contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
