Description

The alarm is reported when the BTS clock has not locked to the upper level lock for a year.

Possible Causes

  • The 13M crystal oscillator is aging or faulty.
  • The center frequency of the 13M crystal oscillator is manually modified.

Procedure

  1. Calibrate the 13 M clock. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Check if the DCMB switch is set correctly. Reset it and see if the alarm has been cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared and the fault may lie in faulty 13MHz crystal oscillator. Go to Step 2.

  2. Replace the DTMU

    Replace the DTMU and see if the alarm has been cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
