Configuring the M3UA Link Set

This describes how to configure the M3UA link set on the A interface.

Prerequisite

Procedure

1. On the BSC6000 Local Maintenance Terminal, right-click BSC6000.
2. Choose Configure M3UA Data > Configure M3UA Linkset from the shortcut menu. A dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

3. Click Add. A dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 2.

   NOTE:

   Adjacent Destination Entity Name cannot be changed. When the BSC is configured with the signaling transfer entity, the name of the signaling transfer entity is displayed on the LMT by default; otherwise, the name of the destination entity is displayed.

4. Set the parameters by referring to Table 1.
5. Click OK to return to the dialog box shown in Figure 1.
6. Click Finish. The configuration of the M3UA link set is complete.
