A configuration command that modifies the parameters in the channel attributes of a TRX. In this command, the following parameters uniquely identify a channel.
Cell Index or Cell Name
TRX Board No.
Channel No.
ID | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
IDXTYPE | Index Type | Meaning:Index Type Value range:BYNAME(By Name),BYIDX(By Index) Explanation:Index type. Default value:None |
CELLIDX | Cell Index | Meaning:Cell Index Value range:0~2047 Explanation: This parameter indicates the source cell index. The source cell index must be unique. Default value:None |
CELLNAME | Cell Name | Meaning:Cell Name Value range:1-32 characters Explanation: This parameter indicates the name of the source cell. The name of each cell under one BSC must be unique. Default value:None |
TRXBN | TRX Board No. | Meaning:TRX Board No. Value range:0~71 Explanation:This parameter specifies the unique number of each board type in a site. Default value:None |
TRXPN | TRX Board Pass No | Meaning:TRX Board Pass No Value range:0~7 Explanation:Number of a TRX on uplink tributary 0 Value 255 indicates that no TRX is connected. Default value:None |
CHNO | Channel No. | Meaning:Channel No. Value range:0~7 Explanation:This parameter specifies the number of a channel in a TRX. Each TRX has eight channels. When configuring a TRX, the BSC generates eight channels numbered from 0 to 7 automatically. Default value:None |
CHTYPE | Channel Type | Meaning:Channel Type Value range:TCHFR(TCH Full Rate),TCHHRR(TCH Half Rate"Reserved"),TCHHR(TCH Half Rate),SDCCH8(SDCCH8),MBCCH(Main BCCH),CBCCH(Combined BCCH),BCH(BCH),BCCH_CBCH(BCCH+CBCH),SDCCH_CBCH(SDCCH+CBCH),PBCCH_PDTCH(PBCCH+PDTCH),PCCCH_PDTCH(PCCCH+PDTCH),PDTCH(PDTCH),DPDCH(Dynamic PDCH) Explanation:This parameter specifies the channel type and its function of all TRXs in a cell. Combined BCCH + 7TCH Main BCCH + SDCCH/8 + 6TCH Main BCCH + 2SDCCH/8 + 5TCH Main BCCH + SDCCH/8 + extended BCCH (BCH) + 5TCH Main BCCH + SDCCH/8 + extended BCCH (BCH) + TCH + extended BCCH (BCH) + 3TCH The BCCH configuration in the cell should be based on the number of channels and paging processing capability of the location area. The main BCCH and combined BCCH are configured on timeslot 0. The extended BCCH can only be configured on timeslot 2, 4, and 6. If the extended BCCH is configured, the parameters related to the CCCH in the system information should be configured correspondingly. For example, If an extended BCCH is configured on timeslot 2, then two CCCHs in non-combined configuration should be specified in the system information. To enable the cell broadcast service in a cell, you need to configure a CBCH channel for the cells supporting cell broadcast service in the radio channel configuration. If the combination of SDCCH/8+CBCH is used, the channel type should be SDCCH+CBCH. You can change a TCH into SDCCH+CBCH. Alternatively, you can change an existing SDCCH into SDCCH+CBCH. If the SDCCH/4 is used for the control channel, the channel type can be set to BCCH+CBCH. The performance of the cell broadcast service in SDCCH/8 is the same as that in SDCCH/4. The specific settings should be based on the network planning requirements of all cells. The half-rate networking is a special networking mode. Therefore, its data configuration is different from that in other networking modes. In the half-rate networking mode, the RSL signaling throughput of each TRX increases. The maximum multiplexing ratio of the LAPD signaling links on the Abis interface is 2:1. An E1 link supports a maximum of 13 TRXs. If the LAPD signaling links are not multiplexed, an E1 link supports less TRXs. Default value:None |
GPRSCHPRI | GPRS Channel Priority Type | Meaning:GPRS Channel Priority Type Value range:GPRS(GPRS Channel),EGPRSNORCH(EGPRS Normal Channel),EGPRSPRICH(EGPRS Priority Channel),EGPRSSPECH(EGPRS Special Channe),NONGPRS(Non-GPRS Channel) Explanation:This parameter specifies the EGPRS priority type of a channel. It takes effect when the channel type is PDTCH or TCHF in the embedded PCU mode,or the channel type is PDTCH or DYN PDTCH in the external PCU mode. When this parameter is set to GPRS channel, the MSs accessing the network through EDGE services cannot occupy this channel. When this parameter is set to EGPRS normal channel, the MSs accessing the network through GPRS and EDGE services can occupy this channel with the same priority. When this parameter is set to EGPRS priority channel, the MSs accessing the network through EDGE services occupy this channel with the highest priority. When this parameter is set to EGPRS special channel, the MSs accessing the network only through EDGE services can occupy this channel. Default value:None |
TSPRIORITY | TimeSlot Priority | Meaning:TimeSlot Priority Value range:0~7 Explanation:This parameter specifies the timeslot priority of channel in channel assignment. If the value of this parameter is set, the timeslot can be assigned preferentially in similar conditions. Default value:None |
