Attempted Outgoing Inter-BSC Inter-Cell VGCS TCH Handovers per BSC

Measurement Counter

ZTA03449:BSCRPT_GCC_INTERBSC_OUTCELL_HO_REQ

Description

The inter-BSC VGCS TCH handover may be triggered by various reasons, such as the receive level, receive quality, timing advance (TA), load sharing, MSC intervention, directed retry, rapid Rxlevel drop, better cell, OM intervention, and other causes. The originating cell and the target cell are not under control of the same BSC. The originating BSC sends a HANDOVER REQUIRED message to the MSC to initiate a handover procedure. This measurement provides the number of handover requests sent by the originating BSC to the MSC. This counter indicates the frequency of the inter-BSC handover initiated by the originating BSC.

Unit

Integer number or integer.

Measurement Point

At the end of each granularity period, this counter is measured by using the following formula. For details, see Attempted Outgoing Inter-BSC Inter-Cell VGCS TCH Handovers.

Formula

Attempted Outgoing Inter-BSC Inter-Cell VGCS TCH Handovers per BSC = Attempted Outgoing Inter-BSC Inter-Cell VGCS TCH Handovers

(That is, the total of the counter Attempted Outgoing Inter-BSC Inter-Cell VGCS TCH Handovers in each cell of the BSC.)
