Select the Quick tab of the 3D Categorized Plots dialog to specify the variables to use in creating a three-dimensional categorized graph. You can also choose from a limited selection of graph and interval types. More options are available on the Advanced tab.
Graph Type. Select the type of plot from the Graph Type list in this tab. Click the desired plot link below for a brief description of that type of graph. More graph types are available on the Advanced tab.
Variables. Click the Variables button to display the standard variable selection dialog, in which you can select the X-, Y-, and z-axis variables and the grouping variable to be categorized for the graph. The selection that you make will then be displayed in the area of the dialog below the Variables button. Note that the selected grouping variable does not have to be a categorical variable (e.g., contain codes); you can use one of the Methods of categorization options to categorize a continuous variable. (The grouping variable is not necessary if the categories are defined via the Multiple subsets method on the Advanced tab.)
Intervals. Use the options in this group box to choose a method of categorization of the values for the selected grouping variable. Each of the methods is discussed in the Method of categorization topic. Note that only three categories are available on the Quick tab: Integer mode, Unique Values mode, Categories, and Codes. More categories are available on the Advanced tab.
