The "snap to grid" facility, enabled by clicking the button on the Graphs Tools toolbar or the Snap to
Grid command on the View menu, aligns drawing objects with
the drawing grid, an invisible network of lines that covers the drawing
area (the grid may be displayed by pressing CTRL+G
or selecting the Alignment
Grid command from the View menu).
When this facility is enabled, inserted objects are always pulled into
alignment with gridlines or intersections of gridlines (the "snap
to grid" effect).
When placing objects, and when the Snap to Grid option is turned On, you may temporarily turn it Off while dragging an object (to make fine adjustments to the object's position, independent of the grid) by first clicking on the object, and then holding down the ALT key.
Horizontal/Vertical
Spacing. Specify the vertical and horizontal spacing of the gridlines
in the Horizontal/Vertical Spacing
fields.
Horizontal/Vertical Origin. Specify the location (horizontal and/or vertical) in the graph at which STATISTICA will begin to draw the gridlines in the Horizontal/Vertical Origin fields.
