Select Plots Legend from the Insert menu to display the Add Legend dialog. Use the options in this dialog to add a plot legend to the current graph.
Type. In the Type box, select the type of legend to add to the plot. STATISTICA provides two types of legends: Fixed (title) or Floating. If you select Fixed (title), the legend is added as a title at the top, left, right or bottom of the graph depending on the selection in the Position box. If you select Floating in the Type box, a floating legend is created and positioned in one of the four corners of the graph depending on the selection in the Position box.
Position. In the Position box, select the position for the initial placement of the newly created legend. Fixed titles (see Type, above) can be placed at the top of the graph (select either Title or Subtitle), to the left of the graph (select Left), to the right of the graph (select Right), or at the bottom of the graph (select Footnote). Floating legends can be placed in one of the four corners of the graph window by selecting Left-up, Left-down, Right-up, or Right-down.
Note that this option is for creation of the legend only. To add text or objects, customize fonts, etc., use the Graph Titles/Text options pane of the Graph Options dialog.
