Adjusting the Table Size

You can adjust the size of a table in the diagram in any of its five views. For example, you can enlarge a table in Column Properties view to see all of the properties for its columns without having to scroll the table horizontally. For details about table views, see Changing a Table View.

A minimized table can be resized only horizontally.

To automatically adjust the table size

  1. Select the table(s) you want to resize.

  2. Right-click the table and choose Autosize Selected Tables from the shortcut menu.

    The table and the columns within the table are adjusted to show all the information in the displayed columns.

To manually adjust the table size

  1. Position the pointer over the table border.
    To adjust the table… Position the pointer over the table’s… Until the pointer changes to…
    height top or bottom edge
    width left or right edge
    height and width corner or

  2. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the table border to its new size.

  3. Release the mouse button.
