The UII administration component provides maintenance UI in Microsoft Dynamics CRM that UII administrators can use when managing and configuring applications, workflows, options, and so on. For more information about the UII administration console, see UII Administration.

User Roles

In a UII environment, there are two user roles:

• UII Agent – The common users of the integrated desktop developed with UII. Each UII user must be a CRM user.
• UII Administrator – The administrator manages the UII environment.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

The UII supports single sign-on, either through Microsoft Enterprise Single Sign-On (ESSO) or through a third-party SSO product. The UII provides sample code that demonstrates how to integrate the UII with a custom SSO system.
