Status Area
On the bottom of the print driver tabs when your computer connects to a network printer and bi-directional communication is enabled.
Note: Some features are only supported by specific printers, operating systems, or driver types. You may see more features or options listed than what your printer supports.
The following items are displayed below the picture of your printer:
- Printer status icons:

.gif "Ready to Print")
: Ready to print.

.gif "Warning")
: A problem, such as low paper in a tray, that you may want to know about but doesn't prevent printing.

.gif "Job Cannot Print")
: A problem that prevents printing.

: Displays the levels of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black toner/ink.

: Displays the level of paper in the trays.

: Displays if you choose to be notified when your job is done printing or cannot be printed.
