Editing the Base
 
 
 

In this final lesson, you will flatten the base of the stool.

Construct the stool base:

  1. On the Modify tab, right-click on the TurboSmooth modifier and select Collapse To. Click Yes to clear the warning message.
  2. Select the vertices located at the bottom of the stool.

  3. Scale the Vertices down on the Z axis to around zero.

  4. Scale the vertices slightly up on the X and Y axis to enlarge the stool base.

  5. View the end result.

  6. Save your scene as my_stool_final.max.
