If the ribbon is active, double-click
a multiline text object to open the MTEXT ribbon contextual tab.
If the ribbon is not active, the In-Place Text Editor is displayed.
Select the paragraphs you want to indent.
On the ruler, slide the top indent marker
to where you want the first line of the paragraphs to start.
NoteThe ruler displays
the tabs and indents that are set for the selected paragraphs or,
if no text is selected, the paragraph where the cursor is located.
The default tab stops are the long tick marks on the ruler. To set
a custom tab stop, click the ruler where you want the tab stop.
Slide the bottom indent marker to where
you want the other lines of the paragraphs to start.
This step indents turnover lines in paragraphs
that are more than one line long.
To change the indentation, select the
paragraphs you want to change, click the ruler to set new tab stops,
if needed, and move the indent markers.
