ALM-8626 TRX/CDU power off alarm

Description

This alarm is triggered when all of the TRXs and the CDUs of the BTS are powered down because the AC power supply for the BTS3012A shuts off and the output voltage from the battery is under the normal range or internal temperature of the cabinet is higher than the threshold.

Impact on the System

When this alarm occurs, the BTS cannot communicate with the other devices.

System Actions

All of the TRXs and the CDUs are powered down.

Possible Causes

  • The TMU shuts down the power for the TRXs and the CDUs since the power stored in the battery is almost used up.
  • There is no mains input.
  • The internal temperature of the cabinet is higher than the threshold.

Procedure

  1. Check the battery

    Judge whether the battery is in normal operation according to the data given in the table below, which shows the correspondence relation among the current, power and the life-span after a recharge.

    Y=>The alarm handling ends. The alarm occurs because the system starts the hierarchical power supply mode for protection.

    N=>Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.The alarm may be caused by error in BTS software configuration or fault of the battery.

  2. Check the internal temperature of the cabinet

    Check if the alarm subsystem reports the ALM-6412 Over Temperature Alarm at the same time. Handle according to the handling suggestions in ALM-6412 Over Temperature Alarm, and observe if the alarm is cleared.

  3. Check whether the air conditioner or heat exchanger is faulty

    Check if the alarm subsystem reports the ALM-8564 BTS3012A Air-Conditioner Alarm or ALM-8580 Heat Exchanger Fault Alarm at the same time. Handle according to the handling suggestions in ALM-8564 BTS3012A Air-Conditioner Alarm or ALM-8580 Heat Exchanger Fault Alarm , and observe if the alarm is cleared.
