BTS Combined Cabinets and Cabinet Groups

This describes the mapping between ports and TRXs in BTS combined cabinets and cabinet groups.

Combined Cabinets and Cabinet Groups of the Same BTS Type

Table 1 lists the mapping between ports and TRXs of the BTS30 that is configured with only one TMU in cabinet 0. Table 2 lists the mapping between ports and TRXs of the BTS30 that is configured with two TMUs in cabinet 0.

Combined Cabinets and Cabinet Groups of Different BTS Types

When the BTS3012 is combined with the BTS30, BTS3012, or BTS312, only the BTS3012 can be configured as the main cabinet group.

When the BTS3012 is combined with the BTS3012 II, either of them can be configured as the main cabinet group. Table 16 lists the mapping between ports and TRXs with the BTS3012 being the main cabinet group. Table 17 lists the mapping between ports and TRXs when the BTS3012 II serves as the main cabinet group.

When the BTS3012 II is combined with the BTS30, BTS3012 II, or BTS312, only the BTS3012 II can be configured as the main cabinet group.

Mixed Configuration of TRXs

The current Huawei BTSs support the mixed configuration of the single-transceivers and double-transceivers as well as the mixed configuration of the double-transceivers of different types. The principles of mixed configuration are as follows:

Only the mixed configuration of the single-transceiver of the BTS312 and the double-transceiver of the BTS3012 is supported.
The BTS3012 and BTS3012AE support the mixed configuration of DTRU A and DTRU B.
The BTS3012, BTS3012AE, and BTS3012 II support the mixed configuration of the DTRU and QTRU.
