Adding a PCU

This describes how to add a PCU to process the PS services.

Scenario	BSC initial configuration and BSC capacity expansion
Mandatory/Optional	Optional. You need to configure the PCU only when the external PCU is used.

NOTE:

• A maximum of 32 PCUs can be configured for the BSC.
• The name and number of each PCU must be unique.

Prerequisite

Procedure

1. On the BSC6000 Local Maintenance Terminal, right-click the BSC6000 root node.

2. Choose Configure PCU Data > Configure PCU from the shortcut menu. A dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

3. Click Add. A dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 2.

4. Set the parameters by referring to Table 1.
5. Click OK to return to the dialog box, as shown in Figure 1.
6. Click Finish. The addition of the PCU is complete.
7. Repeat 1 through 6 to add multiple PCUs.
