Configuring the Pb Signaling Link

This describes how to configure a signaling link on the Pb interface. This link is responsible for the signaling transmission of PS service procedure control and Pb transmission resource management.

ScenarioBSC initial configuration and BSC capacity expansion
Mandatory/OptionalOptional. A Pb signaling link must be configured when the BSC is configured with an external PCU.
NOTE:

Each GMPS or GEPS can be configured with up to 64 Pb signaling links.

Prerequisite

The Pb interface E1/T1 is configured. For details, see Configuring the Pb Interface E1/T1.
