For the optimum assignment of the TCHs and the SDCCHs, the system supports the conversion between full-rate TCHs (TCHFs) and half-rate TCHs (TCHHs) and the conversion between TCHs and SDCCHs in certain conditions.
The Channel Conversion Measurement per Cell measurement unit is used to measure the number of the conversion requests and the number of the successful conversions among the previous channels.
The counters in the measurement unit indicate the implementation status of the channel conversion procedure and the actual usage of the channel resources.
