Applying Artistic Effects

Apply artistic effects to age a photograph or to create a variety of artistic results. To limit an effect to a specific area, make a selection before applying the effect.

Important: These effects work on greyscale and 16 million color (24-bit) images only. To increase the color depth of an image, see Increasing the Color Depth of an Image.

To apply an effect:

Choose the effect from the Effects Browser or choose Effects > Artistic Effects and select one of the following effects:

Aged Newspaper

Balls and Bubbles

Chrome

Colored Edges

Colored Foil

Contours

Enamel

Glowing Edges

Halftone

Hot Wax Coating

Magnifying Lens

Neon Glow

Posterize

Sepia

Solarize

Topography
